ANP publishes new OPP public notice
On April 6, 2026, the new version of the public notice for the Permanent Production Sharing Offer (OPP) was published, following approval of the update by the ANP’s Board of Directors on March 27.
The update includes the addition of 15 new exploration blocks, which are in addition to the 8 blocks already provided for in the previous notice, with no other changes to the rules already established in the current public notice.
The blocks of Cruzeiro do Sul, Rubi, Granada, Aragonita, Calcedônia, Cerussita, Malaquita, Opala, Quartzo, Rodocrosita, Siderita, Hematita, Magnetita, Calcita and Azurita, were included in the notice, having already received a joint feasibility statement from the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (“MMA”) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME).
New OPC public notice to undergo public hearing
On April 28, 2026, the ANP will hold Public Hearing No. 5/2026 to address the update to the Permanent Concession Offer (“OPC”) notice, with the inclusion of 45 new exploration blocks. The update will expand the currently available portfolio without altering the rules already established in the current notice.
With the update, 45 new exploration blocks will be incorporated, including 37 offshore blocks located in the Campos and Santos Basins, and 8 onshore blocks in the Potiguar Basin. As a result, the notice will total 495 exploration blocks, in addition to the areas with marginal accumulations already included. All blocks covered by the update have received a joint feasibility statement from the MMA and MME.
