ANP submits new OPP notice with 15 new blocks to Public Hearing
On March 13, 2026, Public Hearing No. 2/2026 will be held to discuss the update of the fourth Cycle of Permanent Production Sharing Offer (OPP) notice, with the inclusion of 15 new exploration blocks, in addition to the 8 blocks that were already in the last notice.
The blocks of Cruzeiro do Sul, Rubi, Granada, Aragonita, Calcedônia, Cerussita, Malaquita, Opala, Quartzo, Rodocrosita, Siderita, Hematita, Magnetita, Calcita e Azurita, which were included in the draft notice, already received a joint feasibility statement from the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MMA) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME).
Three of the blocks that appeared in Joint Statement No. 001/2026, the Mogno, Limonite, and Dolomite blocks, have been removed from the draft and will be incorporated into a future revision of the notice.
The update only includes the addition of new blocks and there have been no changes to the rules already established in the current notice. As a result, the public consultation stage was waived.
