Raphael specializes in litigation and arbitration and handles complex local and cross-border disputes on matters involving civil, contract, commercial, and securities law in a wide range of industries including banking, finance, private equity, asset management, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, agribusiness, among others. Raphael also focuses his practice on restructuring and insolvency matters and advises banks, investment funds and creditors on out-of-court and judicial reorganizations and investors in the acquisition of distressed assets in insolvency proceedings. Raphael represents public companies, investment funds and their managers in administrative proceedings before the CVM (Brazilian Securities Commission). He has experience as an international associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in New York.
