Rafaela Canito

Rafaela is a counsel in Tax practice at Lefosse.

With over 15 years of legal practice, Rafaela is specialist in tax structuring projects for businesses, specifically in relation to indirect taxes, with focus on regulated markets, especially in the electricity, gas and oil, and telecommunications sectors. Rafaela is a member of the Lefosse Pro bono Advocacy Committee and is a member of Infra Women Brazil (IWB), a non-profit group dedicated to promoting and encouraging the presence of women in the infrastructure sector.

Graduated in Law from UERJ (Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro), and a post-graduate degree in Financial and Tax Law from UFF (Universidade Federal Fluminense), an MBA in Project Management from USP (Universidade de São Paulo), and an MBA in Electricity Sector Law and Regulation from IDP (Instituto Brasiliense de Direito Público).

In 2022, was recognized by SPE Brazil Section and Women in Energy Brazil as WIN Influencer.
