Rodrigo Junqueira is the new managing partner of Lefosse Advogados

Partner takes position at a moment of strong growth of the firm

Lawyer Rodrigo Junqueira was elected managing partner of Lefosse Advogados in an election held on 18 June 2021 and takes over from Carlos Mello who held the position for the past three years.

The change in the firm which is always attentive to national and international legal market trends, comes at a time of continuous expansion of its business. The growth forecast is 25% this year, compared to the average of 15% in previous periods. “We are growing at a very fast pace, bringing new reinforcements to the team to strengthen our full service strategy and our purpose of being the main law firm in the country,” said Junqueira. “Last year alone, we provided advisory services for more than 60 operations involving public offerings of shares,” he said.

Lefosse is recognized by the main legal rankings as a high relevance firm in Brazil and has expanded the number of partners in recent years – currently there are 45 which represents a 165% growth from 2015 to 2021. Today, the firm employs 473 professionals including the legal and administrative areas. “Our practical and multidisciplinary approach to the areas of Law is a reflection of the profile of our professionals, as many of them came from the clients’ industries, which allows us to go beyond the legal recommendation for complex cases and be a profound connoisseur of their business,” explained Junqueira.

Participation in business

According to Transactional Track Record (TTR) data, the impact of strengthening the firm can be seen in the results achieved in the first quarter of 2021. Lefosse also participated in two of the top five deals in Latin America in the period – Hapvida/Notre Dame and New Fortress Energy.

In the Capital Markets and Private Equity areas, Lefosse leads the value of public offerings of shares and M&A transactions. In IPOs, the firm performed exceptionally well in the initial offerings of Rede Dor, Enjoei, BR Distribuidora, XP Investimentos, BR Partners, GetNinjas, Espaço Laser and Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul.
