The new regulation resulted from a long regulatory process that included the participation of the public at different stages, including public consultations and hearings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">However, as can be seen from the regulation, the ANPD accepted very few contributions from the public, maintaining points that had been the subject of criticism, such as the obligation to disclose publicly the identity of the DPO, as well as the rules on conflicts of interest, which are excessively broad and vague.
